Pal knows a thing or two
Pal’s been at RAL for a while, and he’s been putting his time at the shelter to good use.
He’s been making friends - his best pal, Hitch, is currently enjoying a break from shelter life in foster care, but the two of them love to play in the backyard.
Getting healthy - Pal came to us with some pretty bad flea dermatitis, compounded by food allergies that made his now-gorgeous coat look pretty sad and scraggly, PLUS he was so itchy. Now that’s he’s flea-free and on a diet that doesn’t upset his system, he is one handsome and happy pup.
Continuing his education - Pal was one of a handful of lucky pups to participate in an in-shelter training class. Suellen and Danielle, two RAL volunteers, were his training team (led by professional dog trainer Deborah Moore), and together they worked with Pal to teach him lots of things that will help in his new home.
Suellen and Danielle worked with Pal to teach him some basic commands: sit, down, stay, come, leave it, watch me - plus some fun commands like “spin” and “high-five.”
Pal has done a lot here at RAL to get him ready for his new life as a family pet. Now it’s up to us to find him the perfect family!
RVA: cute pup!
